Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
Love is the law, love under will.

O.T.O.

Ordo Templi Orientis, Order of the Temple of the Orient, Order of the Oriental Templars or O.T.O. is a Thelemic Order, dedicated to the high purpose of ensuring the freedom of the individual and his advancement in light, wisdom, understanding, knowledge and power. This is done through Beauty, Courage and Will, on the Foundation of the Universal Fraternity.

The Law of Thelema can be fulfilled only by the personal efforts of each individual. However, many aspirants worthy of the Great Work have a real need for information, advice, guidance, in order to serve mankind. Such aspirants will be welcomed in this Order.

Ordo Templi Orientis is the first of the great old orders to accept the Book of the Law, a book received by Aleister Crowley in 1904. This book proclaims a new æon in human thought, culture, and religion, which results from a single supreme commandment, the Law of Thelema: Do what you wilt. This law should not be interpreted as a permission to satisfy caprice, but rather as an empowerment to discover and accomplish their True Will, letting others do the same in their unique ways.

The structure of the O.T.O., similar to other mystery schools, is based on a series of initiations or degrees. In these degrees the O.T.O. instructs the individual through allegory and symbolism in the deep mysteries of existence, thus helping each one to discover his own true nature. Degrees are a simple symbolic map, through which the initiate must progress through his own effort.

O.T.O. is an international fraternal organization founded in the early twentieth century by Carl Kellner and Theodor Reuss. The English author and occultist Aleister Crowley is the best known and most influential member of the Order.

In 2015 the O.T.O. becomes active in the Romanian space through it’s new initiated members, and at the beginning of 2019, the first O.T.O. camp forms under the name of Lux Occulta.
